Returning back to homeland India after living in Gulf for several decades , we want to bring back our good memories of Arabia and it’s culture and cherish during our retirement life . So we wanted a facility in our native city Coimbatore to make our dream come true and that would be “ Majlis “.Very popular in Aabic world including Gulf countries , the term Majlis means " informal gathering place ", for casual business meetings or social gatherings in a relaxed atmosphere. We engaged services of OWM Architecture to design and build our Majlis , despite knowing the fact that no such projects are built in India and it will be truly a challenge for the OWM Architecture team to make it happen.Time passed by like a wind .Boom , It happened ! A masterpiece delivered to us exceeding our expectations.An Authentic Arabian ambience on display , and even the most intricate and subtle elements of Persian architecture in it’s place.Even though it’s a experimental project and relatively small built up area , those who visited Majlis felt it very roomy and spacious .Kudos to the architect and entire team for making our dream come true .

Sowmya, Architects pave our pathway to our dream home as I have always thought, but I realized how much hard work you have put in to match our dreams. I always wanted a lady architect because I solemnly believe women will be the best in making homes and houses and you have proven. I wanted to always appreciate you for your space management skills. Of course, that will be a feather to your crown.

Having worked with Sowmya on our school projects over the last few years, I can say it is refreshing to work with an architect who does thorough research and understands what the client wants. She is full of ideas and zeal, creative yet practical and is passionate about her work. She is professional, has a skilled team and delivers on time. We are looking forward to working with her again on our new international school project.

Like everyone we too wanted to build a dream house. That has become a reality now. Thanks to Ar. Thanks to the entire team at Owm Architecture for coming up with a stunning design for our Nursing & Paramedical College. The Design was such that it catered for every need. Took care of movement spaces, spacious corridors to move around, lighting, accessibility, indoor/outdoor landscaping, etc. Mrs. Sowmya Kumar is a very forward-thinking Architect who tries to give an ecologically sustainable solution in every aspect of the building. In our case, the land terrain was very challenging with 12 ft height difference, and with minimal levelling they were able to come up with a beautiful and stunning elevation.We look forward to many more collaborations in the future.
